How To: Take a Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Native screenshot capability has been absent on the Android platform since day one. Although there have been workarounds, rooting or using SDK are not feasible options for most users.
Thankfully with their latest TouchWiz update for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung has integrated a software button for taking screenshots right into the tablet’s taskbar. To take and retrieve a screen shot, simply follow these directions:

1. Navigate to the screen of your choice and capture the displayed content by hitting the screencapture button highlighted below:

2. Now that the screenshot has been captured, navigates to Apps > Gallery > screenshot.jpg
